The Super Bowl at North Raleigh!

The NFL has made it allowable for churches to broadcast the Super Bowl so we will plan to show the game on the big screens in the Worship Center on Sunday, February 7, 2010. We will be providing a half-time alternative. Plan to bring your favorite “snacks” to contribute to the food table. Get ready for some football, invite a friend and join us for the party!

Sweetheart Banquet

We welcome you to be a part of our post-Valentine's Day Sweetheart Banquet on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Sponsored by Element Student Ministries, this will be a night of an amazing dinner for two, which includes a spiced fresh fruit cup, tossed romaine caesar salad, roast cornish hen stuffed with wild mushroom rice dressing, seasoned oven baked potatoes, glazed baby carrots, and a cherries jubilee sundae.

The evening will also include some entertainment that you won't want to miss. Grab your sweetheart and buy your tickets: $20 per couple, but hurry because after Valentine's Day Sunday, ticket prices will be $25 per couple.

New Bible Study

Daniel
Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressure to compromise his faith in a hostile culture and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today’s believers face similar trials.

This 12-session study, by Beth Moore, falls in two parts. The first portion from Daniel chapters 1-6, deals with Daniel’s life as he faced the kind of pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. Daniel models how to develop enduring integrity in an enticing world. The second portion, chapters 7-12, explores thrilling prophesies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ.

You can choose either a Tuesday or Thursday morning group, both from 10:00 a.m.-noon starting March 2 and 4. The Tuesday session will provide childcare. Please register by contacting the
church office and include your choice of day and childcare need.

First Place 4 Health

Many diet experts agree that developing self-control is a key part of weight loss and weight management. But the Bible says that believers develop self-control only when Christ is at the center of their lives. The secret to self-control is giving up control to God!

Through this new 12-week Bible study, First Place 4 Health members will learn how to let go of their frantic need to control their circumstances, which often leads to stress induced, out of control eating. They will also take positive steps toward letting God take over the management of their mind, emotions, body and spirit. As Christ moves into first place, life moves into balance.

This 12 week study begins on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, will conclude on May 25. This is an open study for men and women. Each session takes place at the church from 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Registration is limited. Please register by contacting the
church office.
