Super S.T.A.R.S.
The children's ministry at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene is called "Super S.T.A.R.S."
The mission statement clearly defines the five purposes of
our ministry.
Share—We
uses this word for Evangelism.
Team—We
uses this word for Fellowship.
Advance—We
use this word for Discipleship.
Recognize—We
use this word for Service.
Surrender—We
use this word for Worship.
Mission Statement
The
children's ministry exists to SHARE Christ with the children
of our community, TEAM them with other Christians and ADVANCE
them in their spiritual maturity; helping them to RECOGNIZE
their spiritual gifts and SURRENDER their lives to God.
Sunday School—9:30
a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Birth-Fifth Grade
We are committed to "shepherding" children towards a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ. God's Word and love is
"taught and caught" without compromise. You will not want
your child to miss this valuable time of learning,
friendship, and spiritual growth.
Worship
Nursery—10:45
a.m.-12:00 p.m.
(Birth-three years)
We believe that you can never start building a spiritual
foundation in a small child too soon. The Bible instructs us
in Proverbs 22:6 to, "Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it." Our nursery is
designed to help little children take their first steps in
developing a lasting relationship with our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. This foundation will last and make an eternal
difference in their lives.
Tot Town—10:45
a.m.-12:00 p.m.
(Three
years and potty-trained—four years)
The
service is designed for a child's specific age group so they
can meet God at their level. Along with praise and worship,
they will experience many exciting things that will teach
them that church is a great place to learn about God's love
for them.
Kid's Town—10:45
a.m.-12:00 p.m.
(Kindergarten- fifth grade)
Kids Town is a high energy, high impact worship and learning
experience designed specifically for kids! It is a lot of
FUN, but a lot of learning takes place as well. It is
important that children are allowed to worship and learn in
an age-appropriate way. Children who miss out on Kids Town
are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to love and learn
about God in a life-changing way.
Wednesday night (from August through May)
Nursery/Preschool—7:00
p.m.-8:15 p.m
(Birth-five years)
Our nursery is available for all of our regularly scheduled
services on Wednesday unless otherwise noted. Please see the
worship folder for more details.
Caravan
7:00
p.m.-8:15 p.m.
(Kindergarten-fifth grade)
Caravan is a Christian scouting program for children. It is a
fun, Bible-based environment, where kids learn practical
skills in the areas of spiritual growth and Christian
discipleship. Ministry projects are a major emphasis of
Caravan. Kids are taught how to use their talents and gifts
to serve God, while earning badges.
