Servants with a Tool (S.W.A.T.) Event
Servants with a Tool is a nationwide ministry providing labors of love for Christ-centered ministries. On Sept. 3-5, 2010, the team will be working at the D. Moody Gunter Camp and Retreat Center (a Nazarene campground), in Batesburg, South Carolina, not far from Columbia.
This will be S.W.A.T.’s ninth event at this campground. It is a favorite because of the opportunities to be involved in a variety of work projects and because of the recreational facilities when the work is done.

New Women’s Bible study
A new Bible study for women will begin this fall, studying “The Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” This is a 10 week in-depth women's Bible study on Genesis 12-50 by Beth Moore.
Throughout the 10 weeks of exciting, engaging intrigue, participants will plunge into the heart of Genesis, to God’s remarkable pursuit of relationship and to the unfolding of His earthly plan: that through one nation—and ultimately, one man—all people on earth will be blessed. Many of the most profound and enduring concepts in the whole counsel of God’s Word are initiated in this marvelous book of beginnings.
This study will be held on Wednesdays (with childcare) from 10:00 a.m.-noon and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m.-noon (no childcare), starting September 15 and 16 and will conclude November 17 and 18. Please plan to attend!

District Laymen’s Retreat
The North Carolina Nazarene District Laymen’s Retreat will be at the Ridgecrest Conference Center located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just minutes from Asheville, North Carolina.
District Laymen’s Retreat provides a unique opportunity for people to connect with individuals and couples from Nazarene churches located throughout the state of North Carolina. Registration brochures are available at the Guest Services table in the lobby. You can receive additional information and register through the web site. There is a $25 discount per person for all fist time registrants and $10 off for early registration (now-June 30).

Women of Faith Conference: “Over the Top!”
The annual Women of Faith Conference is coming to Greensboro Coliseum on Friday-Saturday, November 12-13. A group is going from this church. The registration fee is now due in late September, so there is still time to sign-up! Invite all of your girl friends to come for this life-changing event!
